Chimney Brush Loan Program
A leading cause of Oregon structure fires are chimney fires.
Hoodland Fire District residents can borrow chimney brushes from the Hoodland Fire District for FREE!
Please come by the Welches Main Station during business hours. We are located at 69634 E. Hwy 26, Welches, OR. There is no charge to borrow the brushes and 6' extention rods, we just ask that you bring the brush back as soon as you're safely finished, so that we can loan it out again.
Before you come in:
- Measure the size of the inside of your chimney pipe
- Bring valid photo I.D. to the fire department.
To check out a brush you will need to:
- Fill out a check out form
- Present valid photo I.D.

Soot and creosote needs to be removed.

The correct size of brush is important so that the bristles are in direct contact with the sides of the flue with out getting stuck.
